Sunrise hopeful

The weather seemed perfect if not for the natural calamities bound to happen to some areas nearby. I didn't see it's serenity not until the rain would stop falling and wait for the sun to rise. With the natural disasters inevitably occurring, I just wish for a much safer place to stay at. I can't blame Mother Nature for getting back at us. In the first place, it is human nature's fault why every single natural event occur (in any way I suppose). Somehow it's a big slap on the face knowing that all of the things that happen are due to human behavior and irresponsibility. Perhaps if things weren't the same, our environment as well as our weather could have been friendlier. Remember global warming? Eventually, it deliver its effects to us in various ways we don't want to experience. going back to that, it simply points out to our own actions. Oh well, not only does our environmentalists are doing something to save our planet, I think its also our own initiative to do something for our own benefit and for our children.

i like your post.you're absolutely right shyr. we're blessed with a beautiful world. unfortunately, people weren't putting much value on it's preservation, they have become abusive and destructive to nature.. not thinking much on the effects that will probably strike back to us in turn.each individual should be reminded that this blessing entails our responsibility to preserve it and maintain its balanced ecosystem. Furthermore, environmentalists cannot do it alone, each of us needs to be aware that global warming is intensifying as days pass by. and so, I highly suggest that we should not wait for an evironmentalist/s to motivate us in doing their advocacy..instead, the action should start in each of us (as what you've mentioned, it is "own initiative").. start in our own homes. plant trees to aid the shift of CO2 levels. conserve energy..etc. remember that we only have one world, and one earth. any imbalance to a single part of it will somehow affect the entire humanity. -kim :)

Hi kim: scary more and more areas everywhere globally are now affected with flood and other natural calamities. I'm still hoping none of those will ever happen in the near future.
